AI's Deceptive Marketing: Corporations Hide Job Cut Plans
Corporations' deceptive marketing of AI as a productivity enhancer is becoming increasingly apparent. The practice hides the reality of job cuts and workforce reduction strategies. Thed3list, a Harvard graduate with experience at Goldman Sachs and Google, points to a Fortune magazine panel discussion as evidence. In the video, he highlights executives' claims that AI won't replace jobs, while simultaneously resisting hiring and planning for layoffs. "They're telling executives to say AI is not going to take your job," thed3list explains, "but somebody who uses AI will." JP Morgan CEO Jamie Dimon's actions further illustrate this point. Dimon instructed managers to resist hiring, and in a separate instance, suggested employees should look forward to having fewer colleagues due to AI's increased efficiency. This deceptive marketing strategy is no longer sustainable, as the truth is becoming increasingly evident.
