
Málaga's Flamenco Contest: €24,000 in Prizes Up for Grabs
Málaga's Flamenco Contest Returns with Generous Prizes Málaga, Spain is set to host the third annual "Cantes de Málaga y de Influencia Malagueña" flamenco singing contest. This year's event promises to be bigger and better than ever, with a total prize fund of €24,000. The contest is part of a broader initiative to promote flamenco as an intangible cultural heritage. "This is a unique opportunity for our new talents to showcase their art, and for everyone to enjoy the richness of our traditional singing," said Teresa Porras, Councilor for Operational Services. The contest, organized by Peña Juan Breva and supported by the Málaga City Council, will take place over several phases in May, June, and July, culminating in a final at the Edgar Neville Auditorium on July 24th. Luis Luque, President of Peña Juan Breva, expressed gratitude for the continued support from the City Council and Provincial Council. The event is expected to draw significant attention from flamenco enthusiasts and contribute to the cultural vibrancy of Málaga.
