The footage shows a silver Mercedes-Benz repeatedly ramming the restaurant before a man in a dark hoodie enters and sets the building on fire. Remarkably, the man also sets himself alight in the process. "In the CCTV, you see a silver Mercedes-Benz ram a restaurant multiple times," stated Jack Pirie, a reporter for 10 News First Australia. The suspect then doused the property with accelerants before igniting it, sustaining serious burns in the process. Police have since recovered the Mercedes, which had cloned plates. The suspect is described as being approximately 175cm tall with an olive complexion. Investigators believe he would have required immediate medical treatment for serious burns.
