Malaysia and Vietnam Strengthen Ties with Key Energy Agreement Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia – In a significant development at the ASEAN Summit, Malaysia and Vietnam solidified their partnership by agreeing to the ASEAN Power Grid (APG) project. The agreement, announced on May 25th, 2025, marks a substantial step towards regional energy transition and cooperation. Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim expressed his delight at the collaboration, stating, "Personally, I am delighted to have Vietnam as a close friend of Malaysia."
