The event, held at the Borneo Convention Centre Kuching (BCCK), was a vibrant display of Sarawakian culture, with a captivating performance by three young sape players taking center stage. The musicians, representing the diverse ethnicities of Sarawak, filled the air with the enchanting melodies of the traditional sape. "As a Kenyah person, I'm incredibly proud to see people appreciating and valuing the Orang Ulu culture," said one of the sape players in an interview. The performance was a testament to the rich cultural heritage of Sarawak, a place where diverse ethnic groups live together in harmony. Datuk Gerawat Gala, Deputy Minister in the Sarawak Premier's Department, also spoke at the event. "This event provides an opportunity for ethnic communities to showcase their cultures," he stated.
