Myanmar and China Strengthen Media Ties in 75th Anniversary Dialogue Naypyidaw, Myanmar – A media dialogue between Myanmar and China took place in Naypyidaw on June 2nd, 2025, marking the 75th anniversary of diplomatic relations between the two nations. The event, attended by high-ranking officials, focused on enhancing cooperation and understanding between media organizations. U Ye Tint, Myanmar's Deputy Minister of Information, stated that "This year is symbolic for both countries, marking a significant milestone in our diplomatic journey." He expressed confidence that the dialogue would strengthen bilateral ties and pave the way for future collaborations. Chinese Ambassador to Myanmar, Chi Chao Jing, emphasized the importance of media's role in fostering people-to-people connections. He highlighted the regular media dialogues held every three months and the importance of exchange programs for journalists. "The media dialogue opens new avenues for cooperation, sharing information and cultural understanding," he said. The event signifies a strong commitment to expanding media partnerships and strengthening the people-to-people bond between Myanmar and China.
