Kuala Lumpur Police Investigate Disappearance of British Backpacker A 25-year-old British man, Jordan Michael John Johnson-Doyle, has been reported missing in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. Police in the Brickfields district confirmed they received a report on June 2nd, 2025. The last confirmed sighting was at a bar in the Bangsar area. According to Assistant Commissioner Ku Mashriman Ku Mahmud, statements have been taken from the man's father and two witnesses. Johnson's family raised the alarm when they were unable to contact him by phone and noticed his social media accounts were inactive. The Daily Mail reported that Johnson, a remote engineer, had been backpacking in the Mediterranean and Asia for over a year. He arrived in Malaysia on May 17th, 2025, after visiting Vietnam and staying in a Bukit Bintang hotel. "We urge the public to refrain from speculation," stated Assistant Commissioner Mahmud.
