Sultan of Brunei Returns Home After Treatment in Malaysia Bandar Seri Begawan, Brunei — Sultan Hassanal Bolkiah of Brunei has returned home after receiving medical treatment at the National Heart Institute (IJN) in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. The news was confirmed by Malaysian Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim in a Facebook post on June 3, 2025. "Sultan Brunei has returned to Bandar Seri Begawan after completing his treatment at the IJN," stated Prime Minister Ibrahim's post. He also expressed his hope for the Sultan's continued good health and recovery. The Sultan's visit to Malaysia was initially for the 46th ASEAN Summit held in Kuala Lumpur from May 26-27.
