Shocking Footage: Australia Post Workers Targeted by Angry Customers

Australia Post releases shocking CCTV footage showing customers physically and verbally abusing staff. The video, obtained exclusively by 7NEWS Queensland, reveals a disturbing trend of increasing aggression towards retail workers. Prof. Gary Mortimer, a retail expert, comments, "Customer sovereignty, or that notion that the customer is always right, is a contributing factor." Australia Post Retail GM Cameron Toomey states, "I don't think that anybody that is simply doing their job should be subject to those sort of behaviors." A survey by The Shop, Distributive and Allied Employees Association (SDA) found that 87% of the 4000 workers surveyed faced verbal abuse, and 600 experienced physical violence.
