Rollerblading Bandit Terrorizes Abington Gas Station
Abington Township Police are investigating an armed robbery at a Lukoil gas station on Old York Road. The suspect, described as a man wearing rollerblades, a two-toned hoodie, and a white hat, entered the store around 7:30 PM on Sunday, May 25th. He threatened the 19-year-old clerk, Armand, with a handgun and a knife, demanding cash. "He was shouting at me without any reason," Armand recounted, "Give me all the money!" The suspect made off with an undisclosed amount of cash. Detective Sergeant Troy Hummel stated that the clerk was "at risk of his life" and that the suspect's behavior was "irrational and paranoid." Police have released surveillance footage of the suspect and are urging anyone with information to come forward. Armand, despite the terrifying ordeal, has returned to work and shared a message for his attacker: "If you need money, you have to earn it for yourself."
