Mother Charged with Murder After Alleged Exorcism of 6-Year-Old Son
A six-year-old boy, Ra'myl Pierre, was found dead in his Fort Pierce, Florida home on Friday. His mother, Rhonda Joyce Paulynice, has been charged with second-degree murder. Sheriff Richard Del Toro stated that school officials contacted authorities after Ra'myl had been absent from Samuel Gaines Academy for over two weeks. Upon arrival, Paulynice led deputies to her son's bedroom where he was found deceased. According to Sheriff Del Toro, Paulynice claimed she was attempting to exorcise demons from her son. A neighbor, visibly shaken, stated "I'm devastated. I'm sick to my stomach. I just can't believe this is even real." The investigation continues, and Paulynice faces additional charges for failing to report a death and altering the body. This tragic event highlights the importance of child welfare checks and underscores the devastating consequences of violence against children.
