NYC Weekend Storm Warning: Summery Friday to Give Way to Unsettled Weather
New York City braces for weekend storms as summery Friday gives way to unsettled weather. New York City is expected to experience a warm and humid Friday, with temperatures in the mid-80s, according to Lee Goldberg, a meteorologist at ABC 7 New York. However, this summery weather will be short-lived, with a possible afternoon thunderstorm and more significant storms expected over the weekend. "We're going to start tracking more storms as we go through the end of the week," Goldberg said in his video forecast. The forecast also takes into account the Mini 10K in Central Park and the Puerto Rican Day Parade, with Goldberg noting the possibility of showers impacting the events. While Saturday is expected to see showers, primarily in the morning, Sunday is predicted to be mainly dry, although clouds will persist. The unsettled weather is expected to continue into Monday and Tuesday, with showers and storms likely before conditions improve mid-week. Goldberg also warned of potential isolated severe weather, with heavy downpours and gusty winds, in the Hudson Valley, Connecticut, and northern New Jersey on Friday. Despite the upcoming storms, New Yorkers can look forward to a return to beautiful weather by the middle of next week.
