A large cargo ship, the NCL Salten, ran aground in Norway's southern fjords on May 23rd, 2025, narrowly missing a nearby home. This incident marks the second grounding of the same vessel in the same location within two years. Local resident Johan Helberg stated, "It was luck that he went ashore right there. Five meters further south, and he would have entered the bedroom." The 135-meter-long ship posed a significant risk, but fortunately, none of the 16 crew members or the residents of the house were injured.
