Kyrgyzstan-Russia Border: New Entry Rules Announced
New Rules for Kyrgyz Citizens Entering Russia: A Pilot Program's Implementation Starting June 30th, 2025, a new pilot program has been implemented in Russia, affecting the entry process for Kyrgyz citizens. This program mandates pre-registration via the RuID mobile application within 72 hours of planned border crossing. The measure aims to streamline border procedures, according to officials from the Main Migration Directorate of the Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs. "The registration will simplify the border crossing process," stated one official in the video. However, the video also clarifies that failure to complete this pre-registration does not automatically result in denial of entry. The new rules also specify that for children aged 6 to 18, parents or legal guardians must complete the registration process. Representatives from the Embassy of Kyrgyzstan in Russia participated in discussions outlining the program's details. The program's implementation is expected to affect thousands of Kyrgyz citizens traveling to Russia annually.
