Teen's Reckless Joyride Ends in Police Chase and Apprehension in Bishkek

A teenager's reckless joyride through the streets of Bishkek ended abruptly when he attempted to evade police. Driving his mother's car without license plates, the youth ignored repeated police orders to stop, leading to a high-speed chase. When police finally caught up, the teenager locked the car doors, forcing an officer to attempt to break a window to gain access. "He was driving erratically and clearly wasn't thinking about the consequences," stated a police officer at the scene. The teenager was subsequently detained.
