Madrid, Spain – In a recent episode of RTVE Play's "Al cielo con ella," popular artist Rigoberta Bandini shared a candid and humorous anecdote about a formative, albeit frustrating, experience from her primary school days. During a conversation with host Henar Álvarez, Bandini recounted how a nun teacher in 4th grade would frequently admonish her for her naturally high-pitched voice. "When I went to the blackboard to recite the lesson, she would tell me, 'Please, can you speak in a normal voice, not with a child's voice?'" Bandini explained, mimicking her younger self's high pitch. She described her voice as "tremendously acute" and recalled the significant frustration this constant criticism caused. Bandini reflected on the lasting impact, noting that she later recognized the unique pitch in her own voice when re-watching movies she had dubbed as a child. The audience and host reacted with laughter and and empathy, with Álvarez jokingly attributing Bandini's smoking habit to the teacher's influence. The segment offered a relatable glimpse into the subtle yet profound ways childhood experiences can shape individuals.
