Best sustainable paper towels: the ultra-hygienic way to dry your face
Biodegradable and sustainably made options to use at home and while on the move
In a recent viral video, content creator Alexis Dimaya shared a surprising reason behind persistent acne breakouts: the way we dry our faces. Dimaya, who previously struggled with bacterial acne, revealed that using traditional body towels or even air-drying her face after washing contributed to her skin issues. According to Dimaya's experience, the bacteria harbored in reusable towels, even after washing, can be transferred back to the clean face, leading to breakouts. Similarly, allowing water to air-dry on the face can also be detrimental to skin health. Her solution? Japanese disposable face towels. Dimaya demonstrated how she uses these single-use towels to gently dry her face, emphasizing their hygiene benefits. She noted that while these towels are inexpensive in Japan, they might be overpriced in the US, suggesting that buying them in bulk from online retailers like Amazon is a more economical option. Dimaya claims that since incorporating these disposable towels into her routine, her skin has significantly improved, becoming clearer and healthier. She estimates that a pack of 120 towels can last up to two months when used twice daily, or even longer if used once a day.
