Belgrade, Serbia - A significant milestone in Serbian infrastructure development is on the horizon as the high-speed railway line connecting Belgrade and Subotica is nearing completion. Speaking to members of the press at a bustling construction site, a prominent figure involved in the project underscored its critical importance for the nation. "The most important project for Serbia is the opening of the high-speed railway from Belgrade to Subotica," stated the official, whose identity was not explicitly mentioned in the footage but was clearly addressing multiple media microphones. "This is the most important thing for the citizens of Serbia." He further elaborated that the project, which President Vučić has also spoken about, is expected to be finalized and operational within the next 10 to 15 days. Highlighting the advancements, the official proudly declared, "Serbia will have a high-speed railway. This line will be safe, secure, and most importantly, it sends a completely different message." He noted that the trains would reach speeds of up to 200 kilometers per hour, a substantial improvement for a country where, just 10 to 15 years ago, train speeds barely exceeded 60 kilometers per hour. The project aims to modernize the country's transportation network and enhance connectivity for its citizens.
