Lima, Peru - Keyli Aguilera has been placed under preliminary detention following her confession to the murder of her husband, Alexander Valverde. Valverde's body was discovered in the trunk of his car on October 2, more than a week after his death on September 21. According to police reports, Aguilera confessed to sedating her husband with a sleeping pill before allegedly killing him. She then concealed his body under their bed for a day before moving it to the trunk of his car. The vehicle remained parked outside their home on Jirón Don Bosco in Breña for five days before Aguilera moved it 300 meters to Jirón Huaraz, where it was eventually discovered. Valverde's father, visibly distraught, spoke to reporters, stating, "They lived here normally. Everything was normal. But I arrive, and perhaps it could have happened to me, because apparently, the lady has been sick." He clarified that "sick" referred to her actions, not a physical illness. A cousin of the victim expressed shock, describing Aguilera as "super tranquil." He added, "I heard her voice... I knew that she was the one who was aggressive." He also raised concerns about the whereabouts of Rommel's wife (Alexander's brother), who is also Venezuelan and currently missing. Alexander Valverde and Keyli Aguilera had been together for 20 years and had three children, aged 22, 11, and 10. The children, along with Valverde's parents, continue to reside in the family home. Disturbingly, a birthday party for their youngest child was held at the house on October 1, while Alexander's body was still in the car's trunk just three blocks away. Police are continuing their investigations to gather more evidence from the crime scenes and understand the full sequence of events.
