London, UK Cleaning sensation Ann Russell, widely known as "That English Cleaner Lady," has once again come to the rescue of homeowners grappling with persistent kitchen grime. In a recent viral video, Russell provided a straightforward yet highly effective method for tackling burned-on grease stains on ceramic and induction hobs, a common challenge for many. Responding to a user's plea for help, Russell demonstrated her preferred technique, emphasizing the use of a caustic oven cleaner. "It's really, really, really, really easy," Russell assured viewers, dismissing complex cleaning routines. She specifically recommended a product like Mr. Muscle oven cleaner, instructing users to "spray that all over the marks, quite liberally... and just leave it for an hour." Russell clarified the science behind her recommendation, explaining that caustic (alkaline) cleaners are safe for glass surfaces. "That won't harm the glass because it's caustic, it's an alkali. That won't attack the glass," she stated, contrasting it with acids which "might." After the hour, she advised scrubbing the treated area with a scourer or sponge, followed by polishing with a dry cloth. Crucially, Russell stressed the importance of safety: "You should wear those [rubber gloves] when you're cleaning anywhere." The cleaning guru's practical advice has resonated with her large online following, offering a simple and accessible solution to a widespread household problem.
