
Massive Russian Attack on Ukraine: Casualties Reported in Kharkiv
On May 25, 2025, Russia launched a massive attack on Ukraine, using a combined assault of 367 weapons. This included ballistic and cruise missiles, as well as numerous drones. Ukraine's air defenses repelled much of the attack, but some missiles and drones reached civilian targets. In Kharkiv, the attack caused multiple explosions and damage to residential and commercial buildings. Anna Chernenko, a correspondent reporting from Kharkiv, stated, "Explosions began after 1:30 AM. We heard at least four explosions." Three people were injured, including a 14-year-old boy. The attack highlights the ongoing conflict's devastating impact on Ukrainian civilians. Despite the destruction, the resilience of the Ukrainian people and their air defenses remains evident.
