Growing up with a parent in the Secret Service meant a childhood unlike most, as one woman recently shared in a viral video. Ashley, the daughter of a Secret Service agent, revealed three things she could never get away with due to her father's unique skills. "Lying was impossible," Ashley stated, recounting an incident where her father discovered she had driven an additional 22 miles beyond her stated destination. "He goes straight to my car, comes in and says, 'You were supposed to be at so-and-so's house. She lives three miles away. Why are there 22 additional miles on your odometer?'" she recalled. Skipping school also proved futile. Ashley once forged her mother's signature to leave school early, only to be confronted by her father in the principal's office the next day. "I skipped a meeting at the White House to be here because we know that you skipped school yesterday," her father reportedly told her. She added, "He said to me, 'I took a course through the Secret Service on forgery, and you think we're not going to know that you forged your mom's signature to skip school?'" Finally, sleepovers were heavily restricted. While friends could sleep at her house, Ashley was rarely allowed to sleep elsewhere. She later realized her father only permitted sleepovers at the homes of friends whose parents were also in federal agencies, such as the FBI or Navy. "Now it's all making sense," she concluded, reflecting on her unique upbringing.
