Li Auto Unveils New Electric Van at Shanghai Auto Show, Eyes Moldovan Market Entry
Shanghai, China – At the recent Shanghai Auto Show, Li Auto showcased its diverse lineup of SUVs, including the L6, L7, L8, and L9 models, which continue to be available through various distributors. While the brand has historically dominated the Chinese market, recent developments indicate increasing competition. A significant highlight at the show was the introduction of the Li Auto Mega, an all-electric van representing a new direction for the manufacturer. The Li Auto Mega boasts an aerodynamic design and intelligent suspension system, promising exceptional comfort. It offers two versions, Ultra and Home, with the latter providing advanced features suitable for a cinematic experience or gaming setup. The vehicle supports high-power charging up to 520 kW and claims a range of approximately 700 kilometers. Discussions with representatives from Grand Premium, a local distributor, reveal that there are ongoing efforts to officially introduce Li Auto vehicles, including the Mega, to the Moldovan market. While the Mega is projected to be priced around 100,000 Euros in Moldova, reflecting its premium features and electric nature, the company acknowledges the challenges of establishing a robust electric vehicle charging infrastructure in the region. The potential arrival of Li Auto marks a notable expansion for the brand beyond China.
