Kazakh Mother Gives Birth to 12th Child
Mangistau Mother Welcomes 12th Child: A Story of Family and Resilience A 35-year-old resident of the Munaylinsky district in Kazakhstan's Mangistau region has given birth to her twelfth child, a healthy baby girl. Akmonshchak Zhaksylykova's remarkable family has grown again, with the newest addition weighing 3900 grams and measuring 53 cm. The birth, which took place on May 29th at the "Ana men bala" regional perinatal center, was natural and without complications. "All my children are healthy," Zhaksylykova shared in an interview. "The first three were girls, then came two boys, and then more girls." She noted that her largest child weighed 4500 grams at birth. The director of the perinatal center, Zhapparak Yepenova, confirmed that both mother and child are doing well and have been discharged. While celebrating the demographic significance of such a large family, Yepenova also emphasized the importance of allowing the mother's body to recover between pregnancies. "A woman's body needs time to recover after pregnancy and childbirth," Yepenova stated. "The interval between births should be at least two years." This story highlights the joys and challenges of large families, prompting reflection on societal support for mothers and the importance of maternal health.
