Amanda Seyfried Reveals Six 'Wicked' Auditions and Her Strategy for Overcoming Anxiety

Hollywood actress Amanda Seyfried recently opened up about her rigorous audition journey for the highly anticipated 'Wicked' movies, revealing she underwent six separate auditions for the role. Speaking on Backstage's 'In The Envelope: The Actor's Podcast', Seyfried candidly discussed her experience with anxiety during the demanding process. "I auditioned like six times for Wicked," Seyfried stated, highlighting the intense competition and precision required for the film. She further elaborated on her approach to managing pre-audition jitters, emphasizing the importance of authenticity. "I noticed very, very early on that I was like, 'I'm really anxious, I'm just gonna walk in the room, say I'm anxious, and let the person direct me through the entire experience, not just the reading of it, truly,'" Seyfried explained. She stressed that trying to conceal insecurity can be "off-putting" and that genuine self-presentation is ultimately more beneficial. "Insecurity is not attractive, and we're all insecure," she added, advocating for a more honest and grounded approach to professional encounters.
