
Mogilev's Patriotic Celebration: A Show of National Unity
Mogilev Celebrates Day of State Symbols Mogilev, Belarus – On May 11th, 2025, the city of Mogilev hosted a significant event marking the Day of State Symbols. Hundreds of citizens gathered in Lenin Square to honor the national flag, coat of arms, and anthem. The celebration included representatives from various sectors of society, from military cadets to schoolchildren, all united in their display of national pride. The event featured a large Belarusian flag, 100 meters long and 9 meters wide, carried by 250 people across the square. This impressive display served as a powerful symbol of national unity. One young participant, interviewed at the event, expressed the sentiment that the flag's colors represent courage and victory, and the green symbolizes life and goodness. Alexsandr Goroshkin, a member of the Mogilev Regional Council of Deputies, emphasized the importance of these symbols: "These symbols aren't just state symbols; they represent our nation's past and present. They inspire a sense of belonging and pride." The event concluded with a moving rendition of the Belarusian national anthem, signifying the enduring spirit of the nation.
