Belarus Forage Harvesting: Mogilev Region Leads the Way
Agricultural enterprises in Mogilev Oblast, Belarus, are actively involved in forage harvesting. This year, the focus is on early harvesting of rye and swede to produce high-quality feed for livestock. "We started on time," says Dmitry Denisenko, a tractor driver, "and I think we'll get high-quality fodder." The video shows the process of harvesting and transporting the feed. The director of the farm, Andrey Kiselev, explains that they aim to collect 8,200 tons of hay and 11,000 tons of silage. Ludmilla Novikova, a dairy complex foreman, adds that the goal is to improve milk yield and weight gain in cattle. The early harvesting strategy, using a mix of winter rye and swede, is deemed efficient by experts. The video concludes by showing the scale of the operation, with 26,000 hectares dedicated to forage crops in Mogilev Oblast.
