Gomel Red Cross Brightens Children's Day with Festive Cinema Event Gomel, Belarus – In a heartwarming display of community spirit, the Gomel branch of the Belarusian Red Cross hosted a special event for children on May 29th, 2025, at the Oktyabr cinema. More than 150 children from across the city were treated to a free showing of a cartoon, along with an array of fun activities and treats. The event was part of the organization's annual Children's Day celebration. Children enjoyed a variety of activities, including face painting, interactive games, and the chance to win soft toys. Each child also received a gift bag filled with sweets and treats. "It was wonderful to see the smiles on the children's faces," said Yulia Dubrova, chairwoman of the Sovetsky district organization of the Belarusian Red Cross. "This event is a small way for us to show our support for the children in our community and create lasting memories for them."
