PDRM Reviews Safety Measures After FRU Accident
Following a recent FRU vehicle accident in Teluk Intan, Malaysia, the Royal Malaysian Police (PDRM) is actively reviewing its safety protocols for officers. Inspector-General of Police Tan Sri Razarudin Husain announced that discussions are underway with the Department of Internal Security and Public Order (KDNKA) to improve safety measures. "PDRM is currently identifying additional measures to ensure the safety of police officers while using force vehicles," stated Tan Sri Razarudin. The review includes exploring enhanced safety systems for transport vehicles, potentially switching to buses for personnel transport, and implementing police escorts for convoys. These changes aim to enhance the safety of officers during operational movements between bases and deployment locations. The final decision will be made following discussions with KDNKA.
