ASEAN Summit 2025: Record Media Registration Highlights Global Interest
Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia – The 46th ASEAN Summit, scheduled for May 26-27, is set to be a major media event. Over 1,200 media personnel have registered to cover the summit, according to Communications Minister Datuk Fahmi Fadzil. This high number underscores the significant global interest in the summit's proceedings. "This is a high level of participation and shows the great interest in this summit," said Minister Fadzil in a recent press briefing. To facilitate comprehensive coverage, the Malaysian Communications and Multimedia Commission (MCMC) has expanded 5G network access in strategic locations, ensuring reliable connectivity for journalists. This proactive measure is expected to enhance the quality and timeliness of reporting on the summit.
