Langkawi Hosts Maritime Security Demonstration Showcasing Expertise of Malaysian Forces Langkawi, Malaysia – On May 23, 2025, a large-scale maritime security demonstration took place in Langkawi, attracting significant attention from both local and international audiences. The event, part of the LIMA 2025 exhibition, showcased the capabilities and coordination of various Malaysian security agencies in combating maritime crime. The demonstration involved a wide array of assets from different agencies, including the Royal Malaysian Navy (TLDM), the Malaysian Maritime Enforcement Agency (MMEA), and the Royal Malaysian Police (PDRM). The coordinated actions included simulated responses to various scenarios, such as apprehending suspects, rescuing individuals from the sea, and conducting search and rescue operations.
