Hajj 2025: Malaysia Prioritizes Visually Impaired Pilgrims with New Guidebook
Tabung Haji Prioritizes Visually Impaired Pilgrims in Hajj 2025 Malaysia's Tabung Haji, the national pilgrimage fund, has demonstrated its commitment to inclusivity by prioritizing the well-being of visually impaired pilgrims during the 2025 Hajj season. This initiative underscores the organization's dedication to ensuring that all pilgrims, regardless of ability, can fully participate in this important religious journey. Central to this initiative is the launch of a specialized guidebook for visually impaired pilgrims. This guidebook provides detailed instructions and descriptions of the Hajj rituals, making the experience more accessible and manageable for those with visual impairments. The guidebook's creation involved extensive collaboration with experts in accessibility and religious scholars, ensuring its accuracy and effectiveness. "With the launch of this guidebook, we aim to remove any barriers that might prevent visually impaired pilgrims from fully experiencing the Hajj," said Datuk Dr Mohd Na'im Mokhtar, Minister in the Department of Islamic Development Malaysia (JAKIM), during the guidebook's launch. "We believe that everyone deserves the opportunity to perform this sacred pilgrimage, and we are committed to providing the necessary support to make it happen." The video also shows the distribution of the guidebooks to visually impaired pilgrims, capturing their expressions of gratitude and relief. This tangible demonstration of support highlights the practical impact of Tabung Haji's efforts. The initiative has been widely praised, setting a positive example for other organizations involved in pilgrimage management worldwide.
