Besut Mourns UPSI Student Lost in Tragic Bus Accident

BESUT, June 10, 2025 – The community of Besut, Terengganu, gathered today to mourn the loss of Nurul Fatihah Abu Setaman, a UPSI student who tragically perished in a recent bus accident. Her funeral took place at the Gong Duek Islamic Cemetery, where approximately 100 family members, friends, and fellow villagers paid their final respects. The video footage shows the somber procession carrying her coffin to the gravesite, the quiet dignity of the mourners, and the final moments of the burial. One mourner commented, "It's a devastating loss for everyone. She was such a bright young woman." The presence of Professor Dr Nor Khalid Salimin, Deputy Vice-Chancellor of UPSI, underscored the university's support for the grieving family and community.
