Gerik Bus Accident: Police Urge Driver to Remain Silent During Investigation A bus accident in Gerik, Perak, Malaysia on June 9th, 2025, has prompted a request from local authorities for the involved driver to refrain from making public statements. The 39-year-old driver is currently recovering in a Taiping hospital. Perak Police Chief, Datuk Noor Hisham Nooruddin, stated at a press conference that releasing statements at this time could impede the ongoing investigation. "We are waiting for his release from the hospital before taking his statement," Datuk Noor Hisham explained.
