
Serbia Unveils Ambitious EXPO 2027 Project in Belgrade
Belgrade, Serbia – Minister of Finance Siniša Mali today unveiled the detailed model for EXPO 2027, an ambitious international exhibition poised to transform the Serbian capital. The project, located in Surčin, is set to become the first international exhibition of its scale in the Western Balkans. The comprehensive plan includes the construction of new fairgrounds, a state-of-the-art national stadium, an aqua center, a hotel, a school, a kindergarten, and 1,500 residential units. Future infrastructure enhancements envision autonomous vehicles and flying taxis, ensuring direct connectivity with the airport. Minister Mali highlighted the significance of EXPO 2027, stating that 104 countries have already confirmed their participation, with expectations of attracting over 3 million visitors. This initiative is touted as one of the largest infrastructure projects in Serbia's history, promising substantial long-term economic growth and development for Belgrade and the wider region.
