Zurich Bar Raid: Exclusive Surveillance Footage Shows Dramatic Police Operation
Zurich Police Raid: Surveillance Footage Reveals Details of Dramatic Bar Bust A major police raid took place at a bar in Zurich's Kreis 5 district in April. The operation involved a significant police presence, including an armored vehicle and the use of flashbang grenades. Surveillance video obtained exclusively by Blick shows the intensity of the raid. The raid resulted in the seizure of two gambling machines, 13,000 Swiss francs in cash, cannabis, cocaine, and three firearms. Two men were arrested on suspicion of drug trafficking. "For me, the raid was completely excessive and over the top," said Roland Gisler, the bar's owner, in an interview. Gisler is a known figure in the Zurich scene and is currently facing a trial for alleged large-scale cannabis trafficking dating back to 2017. The trial is ongoing. The police, however, view the raid as a success, highlighting the significant amount of contraband seized. The event underscores the ongoing challenges law enforcement faces in combating drug trafficking and illegal gambling in Zurich.
