La Paz City Center to Close for "Long Night of Museums"
La Paz Prepares for "Long Night of Museums" with City Center Road Closures La Paz, Bolivia is gearing up for its annual "Long Night of Museums," an event expected to draw 200,000 visitors. To accommodate the large crowds, the city will close several streets in the El Prado district starting at 2 PM on May 17th. The closures will transform the area into a pedestrian zone, allowing easier access to the 400 museums and cultural spaces participating in the event. "Several streets in El Prado, from San Francisco to Plaza del Estudiante, will be completely closed," explained a representative from the La Paz mayor's office in an interview with Bolivia TV. "This is to ensure that people can easily visit each location." The event, which runs until 11:59 PM, promises a diverse range of activities, including musical performances and cultural exhibits. The mayor's office urged residents and visitors to plan their routes accordingly and anticipate potential traffic delays.
