Government Intervention Stabilizes Chicken Prices in La Paz
Bolivia TV reports on the sale of over 1,300 seized chickens at affordable prices in La Paz. The Empresa de Apoyo a la Producción de Alimentos (Emapa) initiated the sale in three of its branches in the city as part of an ongoing operation against reverse smuggling. A reporter from Bolivia TV visited one of the Emapa locations and spoke to a representative, who confirmed the price of chicken was 16 Bolivianos per kilogram. "The kilo is at 16 Bolivianos," the representative stated. The operation aimed to provide the population with access to affordable chicken. The successful distribution of the seized chickens demonstrates a positive step towards stabilizing food prices and combating the illegal trade in the region.
