Family's Role in La Paz Double Homicide Under Scrutiny
La Paz Double Homicide: Family's Complicity Under Investigation La Paz, Bolivia – A shocking double homicide in La Paz has led to an ongoing investigation that now includes the family of the confessed killer, Deivid Quispe. Quispe admitted to taking the lives of his ex-partner and their young child. The crime occurred in the La Portada neighborhood. The investigation is focusing on whether Quispe's family knew about the victims' presence in their home and potentially aided in the crime. Lawyer Fernando Velarde stated, "We will request the Fiscalía to investigate the family for complicity. It's unjustifiable how they didn't notice the victims in the house." He further explained that Quispe had been previously jailed for non-payment of child support, and with the help of his parents, he was released, leading to the tragic event. The investigation continues to search for a second accomplice. A first accomplice, who initially gave false information to mislead investigators, has been sent to San Pedro prison with a six-month preventative detention. Deivid Quispe is currently serving a 30-year sentence in Chonchocoro prison. The search for the remaining accomplice and the full investigation into the family's potential complicity underscore the gravity of this case and the ongoing efforts to bring justice to the victims.
