Bolivia's Supreme Court Responds to Election Threats: Formal Complaint Filed Against 'Evista' Groups SUCRE, BOLIVIA – June 4, 2025 – The Bolivian Supreme Court of Justice (TSJ) announced today that it will file a formal complaint with the Chuquisaca Departmental Prosecutor's Office. The complaint targets individuals allegedly involved in threats to disrupt the country's general elections. These threats were made by groups identified as "evistas" and were conditional on Evo Morales' disqualification as a candidate. TSJ President Romer Saucedo stated, "We are going to present the corresponding complaint to the Departmental Prosecutor's Office of Chuquisaca against the alleged perpetrators so that the corresponding investigations can begin." He further emphasized the TSJ's commitment to upholding the democratic process and the integrity of the elections scheduled for August 17th.
