Budapest, Hungary – A tragic accident on Árpád Bridge has claimed the lives of B. Ervin and Sz. Mónika, a young couple returning home from work. The incident occurred when a stolen taxi, driven by B. Roland, collided with their Suzuki. The impact was severe, leaving their vehicle completely destroyed. The couple, Mónika, originally from Felvidék, and Ervin, of Székely descent, were deeply loved by their community. They led active lives in Budapest, both working for the Rákóczi Association. Their work involved organizing numerous events aimed at promoting Hungarian language and culture among young Hungarians. In addition to the fatal collision, the stolen taxi also struck another taxi on the bridge. Four individuals in the second taxi sustained serious injuries and were transported to the hospital from the scene. Authorities are investigating the circumstances surrounding this devastating event, which has left many in mourning and shock.
