Actor Damson Idris, known for his versatile roles, recently revealed the unconventional and immersive methods he employed to prepare for his part in the highly anticipated new F1 movie. In an interview, Idris shared that his research went beyond traditional acting preparation, delving deep into the world of Formula 1 racing. "I binge-watched 'Drive to Survive'," Idris stated, referring to the popular Netflix documentary series that chronicles the Formula 1 World Championship. His preparation didn't stop there; he also downloaded the official F1 video game. "I created a fake character and won the championship," he added with a chuckle, highlighting his dedication to understanding the competitive spirit of the sport. Beyond virtual immersion, Idris committed to physical training. "I trained behind the Formula One cars for about seven months," he disclosed, emphasizing the rigorous nature of his preparation. He also utilized racing simulators even before officially landing the role, ensuring he was familiar with the driving experience.
