San Antonio, TX – A local mother, Britney Taryn, is spearheading a movement for improved animal welfare at the San Antonio Aquarium following an incident where an octopus clung to her son, leaving him with suction marks. The incident, which garnered significant public attention, prompted Taryn to speak out about the aquarium's practices and her commitment to advocating for the animals. Taryn shared her experience, stating, "The child was left with suction marks that lasted about a week." She expressed concern over the aquarium's dismissive response, noting that staff referred to the marks as "hickeys" and provided no documentation regarding the octopus's suitability for public interaction.
