HOUSTON, TX – A Houston-area family is reeling after their 2004 maroon Dodge Ram 2500 diesel truck was stolen from their driveway in the Eagle Springs community on September 23, 2025. Brittany Kay, the truck owner's wife, shared her family's ordeal, stating the vehicle disappeared early Tuesday morning. "Our truck was stolen from our driveway 9/23/25," Kay announced in a social media post, expressing her frustration. She highlighted that the theft occurred despite the presence of multiple security cameras on their property and in their neighborhood, an area approximately 20 minutes outside downtown Houston, which also benefits from additional community patrols. The vehicle, described as being in 'mint condition' with only 45,000 miles, was not just a personal vehicle but also a critical asset for her husband, a general contractor, as it contained numerous tools essential for his work. Kay speculated on the thieves' meticulous planning, suggesting they chose a time that would allow the vehicle to be either 'chopped' for parts or transported across the border into Mexico before the theft was even noticed. The family is appealing for public awareness and assistance in locating their valuable truck.
