Birthday Surprise: Cinema Ceiling Collapses During 'Final Destination' Screening

Fiamma Villaverde, celebrating her 29th birthday, was among the approximately 40 people in the theater when the incident occurred near the film's climax. "There was a really loud noise," Villaverde recounted to Infobae. "At first, we thought it was part of the movie, but then a huge piece fell on me." The falling debris struck Villaverde on her shoulder, back, knee, and ankle. Fortunately, because she was leaning slightly over the armrest, it missed her head. After receiving treatment at a hospital and being diagnosed with multiple bruises, Villaverde also reported psychological distress. The cinema manager, upon her request for a refund, simply asked, "How do you want to fix this?"
