
Bykhov's Young Wrestlers Shine in International Tournament
Bykhov Hosts International Freestyle Wrestling Tournament Bykhov, Belarus – A prestigious international freestyle wrestling tournament for girls recently concluded in Bykhov, Belarus. Sixteen teams from Belarus and the Russian Federation participated in the event, which was sponsored by the Union State of Belarus and Russia. The tournament showcased the talent of young female wrestlers from across the two nations. The opening ceremony was attended by several dignitaries, including Alexander Kiselev, chairman of the Bykhov regional executive committee. In his opening remarks, Kiselev noted the growing popularity of freestyle wrestling in the region and expressed his pride in the achievements of Bykhov's athletes. Also in attendance was Irina Kurochkina, a Belarusian Olympic medalist in freestyle wrestling. Kurochkina, known for her dedication to the sport, spoke about the importance of encouraging young girls to participate in athletics. The young wrestlers from Bykhov demonstrated exceptional skill and determination, winning numerous medals and awards. One young wrestler, speaking after her victory, said, "It was an amazing experience to compete against such strong wrestlers from Russia. I'm so proud to represent Bykhov!"
