Analyst: Government Resource Use Fails to Satisfy Citizens
Guatemala City, Guatemala – Analyst Mario Rosales stated that the current use of government resources for hiring advisors and personnel does not reflect satisfaction among citizens. Speaking on Canal Antigua's 'Destino A Las 8:45 PM' segment, Rosales emphasized that the funds managed by the state originate from the taxes and tributes paid by the populace, not from politicians. During a panel discussion on advancements and setbacks in the economy, public investment, and spending quality, Rosales highlighted the substantial amounts involved. He referenced projections from the Superintendence of Tax Administration (SAT) ranging between 95,000 million and 120,000 million Quetzales. Rosales concluded that despite these significant expenditures on personnel and advisors, the public does not perceive a corresponding increase in satisfaction or benefit from these allocations.
