Tech Creator Considers "Trump Phone" Purchase, Raises Scam Concerns
A popular tech content creator, known as Carterpcs, recently posted a video questioning whether he should purchase and review the controversial 'Trump Phone.' In his video, Carterpcs highlighted several red flags regarding the device, stating that the product shown is merely a 3D mock-up and not a physical product. He also pointed out that the listed specifications for the phone appear to be illogical or misleading. Furthermore, Carterpcs expressed concern over the requirement of a down payment for a product that is currently listed with a 'Coming Soon' status. 'If I saw this listing anywhere else, I'd be like, dude, that's an obvious scam,' he stated in the video, acknowledging the potential for fraud. Despite his strong reservations about the product's legitimacy and his reluctance to provide financial information, the creator proposed a challenge to his audience. He pledged to purchase the 'Trump Phone' if his video garners 200,000 likes. To balance this, he also committed to donating an equivalent amount of money to a top-voted charity, inviting viewers to suggest organizations in the comments. The video has quickly gained significant traction, accumulating over 1.5 million views and 216,300 likes, surpassing his target.
