Dominican Republic: US Fugitive Apprehended, Chinese Businessman Arrested, and MLB All-Star Hopefuls The Dominican Republic witnessed a series of significant events on June 6th, 2025. A high-ranking US fugitive, Luis Francisco Soriano, also known as "Jeffry" or "Jeijo," was apprehended. Soriano is accused of a quadruple homicide in New York in August 2024, which involved the deaths of two children.
