Emergency Bonus Activated for JetSet Tragedy Victims in Dominican Republic
Following the devastating JetSet tragedy in the Dominican Republic, the government is taking steps to aid affected families. An emergency bonus of 30,000 pesos per month for six months will be activated for 92 families, according to Violeta Quezada, director of Gender and Care at Supérate. "The first disbursement will be made to the 92 families already processed by the Supérate program," Quezada stated. A total of 232 families and 174 orphaned minors have received assistance since the tragedy two months ago. The government continues to reach out to additional families in need.
